About

Hello! My name is Willem Aarts,  an established arranger from the Netherlands. My first musical experience started on my trombone, at my local concert band. I’ve been doing that for over a decade now, but I also challenged myself to learn some piano, guitar and French horn along the way.

I started around 2013 with pretty basic arrangements for some small performances of my concert band or other small ensembles where I played at. This grew very fast as several other concert bands from my region saw what I made and

My arrangements are sold online since a few years now, which is a great way to get musicians in touch with my beautiful arrangements! Over 100 titles are currently available, with many more to come. My first (and currently only) composition was Century of Music, which was written for Muziekvereniging Excelsior Zeilberg on behalve of her 100th anniversary.

The software that I’m using is Sibelius. I started on Finale and tried MuseScore after that, but my experience with Sibelius is the best. Although it might not be great for esthetics, it is useful for notation and more advanced options with writing large scores. With the help of some other software, I am able to make the arrangements just as I want them.
